Davis Sezna

Job TitleCEO, Managing Partner

Company NameHeritage Golf Group

Davis Sezna has more than 40 years of experience and a proven record of success in the golf and hospitality industry. He began his career in hospitality in 1980 with the purchase of his first property: an existing, nonperforming restaurant that he reconceptualized, turning it into a thriving college and community restaurant and bar. This was the impetus in 1982 for Davis to form 1492 Hospitality Group, which went on to design, build, own and/or operate over 30 successful restaurant concepts, fourteen of which were in golf clubhouses. Davis expanded 1492 Hospitality Group in 1995, by building and operating Hartefeld National Golf Course in Avondale, PA. He enlisted Tom Fazio to design the challenging course, which twice hosted the Bell Atlantic Classic, a PGA Senior Tour event. His 1492 Hospitality Group catered the PGA Tour event its second year, serving over 140,000 spectators on the course and in the clubhouse. Davis' Hartefeld Clubhouse and Restaurant was the first clubhouse restaurant in the United States acknowledged and rated by the Zagat Dining Guide. Four years later (1999), Davis developed, co-designed, and built his second golf course and clubhouse restaurant concept, Mountain Branch Golf Course and Bar & Grille in Joppa, MD. In 2002, Davis founded Tandem Hospitality to assist private clubs with their master plans and operations. Tandem Hospitality worked with over 80 clubs including Merion Golf Club, Winged Foot Golf Club, and The Cloister at Sea Island. Pyramid Hotel Group (Boston, MA) partnered with Davis in 2007 where he served as President of La Quinta Resort and PGA West, a property that was part of a larger portfolio of eight golf resorts owned by Morgan Stanley. In this position Davis helped rebrand, develop and execute the Master Plans for many of the iconic properties which included, among others, Doral Resort and Country Club in Miami, FL; Arizona Biltmore, Scottsdale, AZ; Grand Wailea Maui Resort, Maui, HI; and Grand Lakes Resort in Orlando, FL.
