Following a 10-year career in the golf and club management industry, Dr. Christopher Cain has served as the Director of the UNLV PGA Golf Management University Program and Associate Professor for the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality since 2004. A UNLV Teaching Academy Fellow, Cain received his PhD in Higher Education with a focus on Educational Leadership from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and is a certified PGA professional in executive management. A PGA PGM Alum, Cain also earned his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from The Pennsylvania State University. His teachings, invited presentations, and research focus on leadership and operations management within the golf and club industry and student persistence factors related to degree attainment. Cain's industry service includes board of director positions with regional and national professional, amateur, and junior golf associations, including the PGA of America, First Tee, Southern Nevada Golf Association, Nevada Golf Alliance, PGA Magazine, and past president of the Southern Nevada Chapter PGA. Cain has been honored by the University and the PGA of America with awards for leadership, teaching, and service to the golf and hospitality industry. Chris shares his life experiences with his bride, Lisa, and their two children, Henry and Juliet.
