Indoor Demo Day at the Equipment Test Center

Located adjacent to the PGA Forum in the Equipment Section.

The Indoor Demo Days at the ETC features the country’s largest indoor golf range equipment test center. Attendees will experience hands-on testing of the newest equipment and the latest advances in technology and design from leading golf manufacturers. This massive indoor golf range comprises a scalloped layout of some 47 hitting bays, a putting green and a PGA Short Game Challenge Area.

PGA Section Short Game Challenge

Located adjacent to the equipment section in front of hitting bays one and two.

PGA Professionals and apprentices have the opportunity to compete in the PGA Section Short Game Challenge. Each competitor will be allowed two putts and two chips with the total distance of all putts and chips used to determine each day’s final results. Prize money will be paid to the winning PGA Sections on a daily basis.

Teaching, Training Aids and Golf Fitness Pavilion

Located in the Equipment section next to the ETC between aisles 300 and 1000.

A pavilion designed for companies that are showcasing products or services specifically designed for teaching, training, coaching and golf fitness. If you see the Teaching, Training Aids, & Golf Fitness Pavilion icon next to an exhibitor listing; the company specializes in books & videos, coaching schools, launch monitors and simulators, coaching methods, teaching techniques, training aids, fitness, health and warm-up apparatus.

The legendary rock group Kansas, which has produced eight gold albums, three sextuple-platinum albums and one platinum live album, will be performing their rock classics including "Carry on Wayward Son" and "Dust in the Wind." This is an open invitation to all attendees and exhibitors. General admission seating is limited. Once the auditorium is full, admission will cease.

AGM Product Preview & Reception

The Annual Association of Golf Merchandisers will hold its Annual Retail Conference and Luncheon on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Orange County Convention Center. Program topics are designed to provide a concentrated kaleidoscope of benefits tailored to facilitate “Building a Blueprint for Success in Challenging Times” through key initiatives on new equipment introductions, teaching best practices, merchandising ideas and much more. The PGA Forum provides the pulse point on the business of golf.

GRAA & Golf Range Magazine “Solutions Summit”

January 27, 2010, Orange County Convention Center

Golf Range Association of America (GRAA) and Golf Range Magazine will again host its annual conference & tabletop exhibition on Wednesday, January 27 at the PGA Merchandise Show. Called the ‘Solutions Summit’, the GRAA event runs from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. allowing show attendees who want to first visit the Demo Day to do so and come back to the Convention Center for the GRAA event. The GRAA/Golf Range Magazine event is held at the OCCC on Level One-Meeting Rooms 110A and 110B. The meeting and workshops are intended for owner/operators and gm’s of golf ranges & learning centers, short courses, golf domes, and 18-hole courses. PGA and LPGA education credits are available. Patriot Golf Day Appreciation Lunch

The Folds of Honor Foundation is hosting a Patriot Golf Day Appreciation Lunch during the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show to recognize the leading participating facilities from 2008 and 2009, as well as other supporters. The event is by invitation only.

Folds of Honor provides post-secondary educational scholarships for children and spouses of military service men and women killed or disabled while serving our great nation. The Foundation was founded in 2007 by Major Dan Rooney, an F-16 pilot, golf course owner and PGA Professional from Broken Arrow, Okla. Over the past two years, more than 850 scholarships have been awarded.

Patriot Golf Day is the flagship fundraiser for Folds of Honor. Jointly supported by The PGA of America and the United States Golf Association, Patriot Golf Day is held each Labor Day Weekend. Since its inception in 2007, PGA Professionals have been instrumental in raising more than $5.3 million by hosting Patriot Golf Day events at their facilities.
