 Alison is a PGA Master Professional in Instruction and a LPGA Class A Member. Being 1 of 11 women to achieve the highest PGA credential earned by an instructor, Alison has over 28 years of golf competition background and has recently played in four LPGA Tour majors. Upon arriving to California, after competing on a full scholarship on the women’s golf team at Florida State University, Alison spent nearly 7 years at Sherwood Country Club as the Head Teaching Professional/First Assistant. In 2014 so opened her own teaching business “Alison Curdt Golf,” helping golfers improve their game though a holistic approach. She earned the 2016 Southern California PGA Teacher of the Year, 2016 SCPGA Northern Chapter Clubfitter of the Year, 2015 LPGA T&CP National Teacher of the Year, 2015 Northern Chapter SCPGA Teacher of the Year, as well as the LPGA T&CP Western Section Teacher of the year award in 2012 and 2015. Alison contributes to Golf Tips Magazine as a Top 30 instructor, and has been featured in 7 separate segments on the Golf Channel. Golf Digest selected her as one of America’s Best Young Teachers for 2016-2017. Alison currently is the Director of Instruction at Wood Ranch Golf club and is the assistant women’s golf coach at California State University, Northridge. She currently practices as a licensed clinical psychotherapist while completing her doctorate degree in clinical psychology with an emphasis in sports psychology. She utilizes EMDR to help athletes achieve peak performance and overcome athletic traumas. Alison serves on the SCPGA Section Board, Northern Chapter SCPGA Board, is a member of the SCPGA Teaching Committee, PGA Adjunct Faculty, Vice-President of the LPGA Western Section, and is an LPGA Global Evaluator.
