PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day

Held on Wednesday, Jan. 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day features more than 100 top golf equipment, training aids, performance wear and golf accessory companies within 200+ hitting bays, practice greens, a new Product Preview Area and the vendor village of the 42-acre practice facility of Orange County National Golf Center & Lodge. PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day special events, demonstrations and contests & prizes are offered exclusively for PGA Professionals, invited key retailers and media. Read the news release.

Instructional Workshops at the PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day

Three of the industry's leading golf instructors ~ PGA Professionals Hank Haney, Michael Breed and Mike Malaska ~ will provide insight into becoming a world class teacher, instructor, and coach to today's golfers. Hands-on skill instruction will be provided in two three-hour sessions at the teaching pavilion of the Orange County National Golf Center, on Wednesday, Jan. 23, during the PGA Show Outdoor Demo Day. PGA Professionals receive 3 PGA Education MSR Credits per session. Registration is available at www.pgashow.com on a first-come, first-served basis due to a limited capacity venue.

Shuttle transportation is strongly encouraged as parking is restricted.

The traditional PGA Merchandise Show Education Conference is streamlined for PGA Professionals and industry leaders to focus on three core subject matters - instruction, leadership and player development - and will be presented by the industry's foremost experts on Thursday, Jan. 24, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., and Friday, Jan. 25, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., at the Orange County Convention Center.

Transformative Fast Track Golf Industry Course
The new PGA Merchandise Show Fast Track Golf Industry Course is a condensed, high-energy, time-efficient educational opportunity for attendees to hear directly from top industry employers, golf executives and PGA of America leadership who will provide critical information on current industry conditions, golf business trends and career planning. The Fast Track Program will be offered on Friday, Jan. 25, 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the Orange County Convention Center.

Jason Glass: Dynamic Warm Up
Jason Glass is Canada's top Golf Strength & Conditioning Specialist. Jason owns and operates Kinetica Golf Performance, specializing in golf biomechanics, physical assessments and functional strength training. Jason has worked with every level of golf from PGA Tour players and top ranked juniors to the weekend warrior. Jason has recently become the strength and conditioning coach for the Canadian National Golf Teams.

New Product Zone (front of #3400 aisle)

The popular "New Product Zone," a Show floor destination that some 87 percent of attendees visit, will showcase hundreds of the newest equipment, apparel, products and accessories in one convenient Show floor setting.

A panel of influential PGA Professionals and golf buyers will judge products based on aesthetics; uniqueness; best features for filling a consumer need; and packaging/ merchandising support. The top three products as voted by judges will be awarded with the "Best New Product" award on Friday at 3:30 p.m. in the New Product Zone. Presentation by Ed Several, Sr. VP of PGA Golf Shows.

Inventor's Spotlight Pavilion (Back #1600-2000 Aisles)

The United Inventors Association (UIA) and Invention Home are co-hosting the Inventor's Spotlight, a specialty area for innovative new products or services not in the marketplace. See the newest golf related inventions before they hit the market. The products/inventions showcased in the Inventors Spotlight will be judged by the UIA panel of experts from both the Product Development and Golf Industries.

Inventions will be judged by a panel of experts on the Show opening morning with the winner being announced at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, January 24. The winner will be featured in the Inventor Digest Magazine.

Specialty Exhibitor Pavilions

Multiple specialty exhibitor pavilions will allow attendees to easily locate products and services in one convenient setting. PGA Section Short Game Challenge (Equipment Hall, front of Aisles #800-1000)

PGA Professionals will once again have the opportunity to test their chipping and putting skills in the PGA Section Short Game Challenge right on the Show Floor. Each PGA Professional and PGA apprentice competitor will be allowed two putts and two chips with the total distance of all putts and chips used to determine each day's final results. Prize money will be paid to the winning PGA Sections on a daily basis. The PGA Section Short Game Challenge is supported by PGA partners Callaway Golf, Nike, PING, TaylorMade and Titleist.

Invitation to Play Golf

A limited number of slots will be available to working or editorial media on a first come, first served basis.

REUNION RESORT ~ Reunion Resort, now part of the Grand Golf Resorts of Florida, is offering complimentary and discounted rates to accredited members of the media attending the PGA Merchandise Show. All tee times are subject to availability, and provide media with the opportunity to learn why the resort is the central location for the new Legends of Golf Trail. Media Registration

Advance media registration remains open. Media may register online through January 18 at www.pgashow.com/media and bring their e-badge directly to the Media Center (OCCC, Room W311). Media professionals who have previously attended the PGA Merchandise Show and are pre-approved in the media database may register online through January 22 and will receive an immediate barcode confirmation. "New" media, or media not found in the pre-approved media database, will need to register onsite after January 18th in the Media Center with proper media credentials and photo ID. Breakfast & Lunch Service for Media

Breakfast: Complimentary continental breakfast is offered to media each PGA Show morning in the Media Center, Room W311.

Lunch: Please note that media lunch service will be offered in the Media Center for all media. This service is similar to that offered to PGA Members in the PGA Member Business Center with the goal to increase the quality of lunch food available to media. The Centerplate catering service of the OCCC will offer a wide variety of lunch options, including daily carving stations, at $14 and less.

SPECIAL: TaylorMade Golf will host a special media lunch on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 24, to include special catering, exclusive one-on-one time with company leaders and product information.

Free WiFi, high-speed T1 lines for filing as well as a desktop computer, printer and separate Internet search & surf station - available in the Media Center.

Private interview/meeting office is available to editorial media by request.

The "Going Green" Online Exhibitor Library of media materials will be located in the Media Center. Two Internet kiosks will offer online access to hundreds of exhibitors' media materials...searchable by name, product category and date of entry. Printers will be available for any interview needs on site. There will be a limited number of traditional cubicles for exhibitor paper press kits.

Two exhibitor news conference rooms will run on the half-hour (see schedule here).

Additionally, there are four high-speed T1 lines for filing large images/documents in the working/filing area of the PGA Show Media Center. Daily Shuttle Schedule

Complimentary shuttle buses are provided to and from official hotels (except the Rosen Centre, Rosen Plaza, and Peabody Orlando hotels) and the Orange County Convention Center. We strongly recommend the use of this shuttle service to reduce traffic. Shuttle pick-up at the Orange County Convention Center is located in front of the portico.


Jan. 24, 25: 6:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.; 3:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.; No Midday Service.
Jan. 26: 6:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.; 1:00 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.; No Midday Service.

A concierge service is available to all attendees in the grand lobby. Airport shuttle service is available from the OCCC to the MCO Airport on Saturday (see posted schedule) for $10. Package shipping service also is available throughout the Show at the business centers located throughout the convention center.
