 IMPORTANT DEADLINE REMINDER

 

The deadline to be included in the advance electronic press kit is JANUARY 6th by 4 p.m. It is easy to share your media materials with media through the PGA Show media kit. Simply upload your current media materials (news releases, product fact sheets) AND make certain your company media contact is included in your online listing.

 

This is important for 2 reasons:

  1. The advance press kit will be sent to more than 2,000 sports, golf, lifestyle and business media, including some 1,000 media from 25 countries attending the 2012 PGA Show.

  2. A new PGA Show mobile application has been developed for media onsite in Orlando that will allow media mobile access to media materials and the PR contact for each exhibitor on the Show floor. If your product catches their eye, they can learn more immediately with the PGAShow2Go app and know who to ask for when they come to your booth. 

 

Include your news release or fact sheet by following the simple upload instructions below.

    1. The first page to appear is the "Exhibitor Dashboard" page. To add/edit press releases, please click on "Company Information," then "Press Releases" in the top green tool bar.

NEW Media Opportunities:

  • Golf Channel – The Golf Channel will cover the news of the PGA Merchandise Show each night on Golf Central, each morning on The Morning Drive and in a one-hour, prime-time television special on Monday, Jan. 30, and again on Saturday, Feb. 4. Please send product announcements and exhibitor special events news to: news@golfchannel.com with the email subject heading of "PGA Show Exhibitor News."
  • NBC/Golf Digest Equipment Television Special – the production team for the spring NBC/Golf Digest Equipment television special is returning to the PGA Merchandise Show for the third year.  For equipment introductions and notable equipment news consideration in the special, please send an email to: mike.johnson@golfdigest.com with the email subject heading of “Exhibitor News – GD/NBC Special.”

  • Leisure & Travel Golf Magazine - Golf resorts, golf tour operators, golf equipment and golf apparel brands are asked to send news of new products or services that would appeal to “golf travelers”. For example, anything a golf tourist, or business traveler squeezing in a golf game between meetings, might be inclined to purchase – from a sleeve of balls to new golf bag travel case.   • The Wire - The PGA Golf Exhibitions' partnership with The Wire, golf's daily electronic newsletter, provides PGA Merchandise Show exhibitors with a free news release submission regarding their Show participation beginning October 1, 2011 through January 28, 2012. The release must include the PGA Merchandise Show within the text; use an e-mail subject heading of "Wire: PGA Show 2012" & be sent to releases@gpagolf.com (not a typo, should not be pgagolf.com).

 

  • PGA Show News, PGA Magazine & PGA.com - Submit your company product news to The PGA of America's influential media properties:
    • PGA Show News - The Show's daily onsite newspaper is distributed to more than 45,000 attending industry professionals. Send exhibitor media announcements to djozwiak@pgamagazine.com & tstarks@pgahq.com with the email subject line: "PGA Show Exhibitor News."
    • PGA Magazine - A full staff of writers will provide comprehensive Show coverage in PGA Magazine and PGAMagazine.com. All exhibitor media materials sent to PGA Show News (above) will be considered for PGA Magazine and PGAMagazine.com.
    • PGA.com - Editors from the PGA.com staff will produce the official live webcast of the PGA Merchandise Show. Send exhibitor media announcements to john.kim@turner.com with the email subject line of "PGA Show Exhibitor News."

Free news conference facilities are available to exhibitors on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited time periods remain available for late-breaking news events. Email us at pr@pgashows.com if you require a news conference room or need additional information about the news conference facilities provided.

Media Library

The on-site media library is going green! 

 

In an effort to both reduce paper waste and take advantage of available technology, PGA Golf Exhibitions is moving forward with an online exhibitor media library that can be updated by exhibitors and accessed by media throughout the year.  Exhibitors are being encouraged to upload news releases, product fact sheets, images and PR contact information directly to their online listing.  At the show, we will have multiple Internet stations (with printers) for journalists to search the online exhibitor media library for media materials by company name and product category.  Please upload your traditional press kit materials to your online listing by following the instructions below.  There will be a limited number of press kit cubbies on site for those exhibitors unable to provide media with electronic access to their promotional materials.  No advance reservations will be taken.

 

Upload exhibitor media materials to www.PGAShow.com for multiple placements including your online exhibitor directory listing; the PGA Merchandise Show online media resources page; the advance electronic press kit sent to nearly 2,000 golf, sports & sports business media; plus the new "green" media library for use by media onsite in Orlando.
